I had another appointment today, I am now 60-70% effaced and 1 cm dilated. I was hoping that I would show some progression since I have had false labor now 5 times!! We almost went to the hospital in the middle of the night on Saturday because I was having painful contractions every 3 minutes for a couple of hours. The only reason we didn't is because they slowed down then I walked around so we figured they couldn't be the real thing. They did end up stopping around 4am. I had no idea that you could have contractions that strong and close together during false labor. Each time it seems to get more painful and more real so hopefully the real thing isn't too far off. We're starting to get impatient, we want to meet our baby girl!

36 week appointment
I had my 36 week appointment this morning, I can't believe I'm already to weekly visits! I've been having a LOT of braxton-hicks contractions and had false labor three times already so I was very interested to see if all those contractions were actually doing anything. The doctor says I'm not dilated at all but I'm 50% effaced, very soft, and Tori's head is very low. Very good signs that we're getting ready for real labor! We've got our bags packed and everything is ready just in case she decides to come a little early.

Shower Pictures
Here are just a few of the MANY MANY MANY pictures that Bob took at the shower. Thanks again to everyone!

Debbie setting up the entry way table. I don't have any pictures of her husband Bob because he was behind the camera the whole time.
Relaxing before the shower.
Gina and Marion Davis (Brian's stepmom and Grandma)
Larry and Joan, Heather and Cindy, Lesa and Bette.
Diane Spilker, Rich and Diane and their daughter Bonnie.
Shelly, Diane, Heather and Leigh.
Playing shower games, trying to complete as many nursery rhymes as possible.
We were showered with gifts! We can't believe how lucky we are to have such great family and friends! We feel so blessed!
Gifts from Texas-this one's from Tori's Uncle Scott and Aunt Catherine :-)
From my Aunt Carole and Uncle Walt, a huge bag of clothes, burp cloths, towels, and all kinds of things we will need very soon!
Brian was such a good sport at the shower, he even modeled a hair bow for everyone.
Very cute :-
We had such a great time, thank you again to everyone who put in their time and effort to make this event happen!

Shower
The baby shower was amazing! I can't believe how much work my mom, Debbie, and Diane put in! The decorations were adorable and the food was scrumptious. We also want to thank Pam and Jennifer for helping set up and bringing the balloons and cake. We received so many awesome gifts, way to many to list. We are all ready to bring Tori home! Thank you so much everyone, we feel so touched by the outpouring of support and well wishes! Pictures will be posted soon thanks to Bob Trammel, the official photographer of the event.
Pictures in the park
We wanted to have some maternity photos taken but we've had a few unexpected expenses pop up so we decided to just go out to Washington Park and have my brother Jeff take a few pictures. The bump is becoming a mountain! At my 32 weeks appointment the doc said I've got baby all the way up to my diaphragm so there's no where to go now but out. I'm currently wishing I was a few inches taller :-)

The nursery is almost finished!
All the furniture has arrived and been moved into the room (thanks to Brian and Jeff). My mom did some stenciling by the crib, she did a little flutter of white butterflies. They look so cute, I want to add some more in a few places around the room!
Poor Brian has spent hours hanging wall letters, shelves, and pictures, installing the light kit into the ceiling fan, putting up curtains and blackout shades, moving furniture around, and his favorite activity (painting). He has done such a great job! Its very very very girlie with lots of little details. We still have a few things to do, like find a hamper, put in a changing pad, and add some more butterflies, but its finally coming together. Baby Tori, I hope you love pink! :-P

I heart spring!
Not really anything to do with the baby.... but yay it's finally spring!!!!! (and not raining every day anymore). I would love to do a ton more gardening this year now that I actually have a place to plant after adding our flower garden last year but getting down in the dirt is getting more and more difficult. Maybe next year! For now I'll enjoy my beautiful planters :-)
