Crib is assembled!

The crib and changer have both arrived! Brian rented a truck and with the help of my brother moved them into the nursery. He even put the crib together before I got home from work which was such a nice suprise! It will be a few more months before the glider and night stand arrive, but at least we can get an idea of where we want to put the pieces. The walls are still neon green from the last owner but its starting to look like a nursery.
After our appointment next Monday hopefully we will know the sex of the baby so we can start working on decorating. We can't wait to find out if its a boy or a girl! In a few years will we be driving to little league practice or ballet?

Nursery furniture ordered!

We ordered our nursery furniture!! We ordered the crib and changer from the picture, a matching night stand, a glider chair and ottoman, and the rails to turn the crib into an adult bed. The crib and changer should be here in a few weeks, the rest are considered "special order items" and won't be in for 3 to 4 months! Good thing we ordered early!!

Ironically, the bedding in this picture is the bedding that Brian sold me on if it's a boy. Jungle animals with mostly greens and browns. Its really cute in person. We can't wait to get the furniture in the nursery and put it together.

Brian's new car!

Jim came with us to Peoria last weekend to look at some cars Brian had been looking at on-line, and we found the perfect one! Brian decided on an SUV after a trip to the baby store when we realized how much stuff such a tiny person needs! He purchased a 2008 Ford Escape with leather seats and a sunroof, he couldn't be happier. No more fear of the snow!

16 week appointment

It feels so weird to go a whole month without seeing a doctor, and even weirder to not have a sonogram! The heart rate was 148 and the doctor said everything still looks great. All my blood work came back normal, and the test for down syndrome and neural tube defects came back negative. They scheduled the big sonogram, we find out the sex of the baby (hopefully!) on March 2. Less than a month to wait, then we can start working on the nursery.

Baby Bump

Well my baby belly is definitely here! Brian and I took our first trip to the maternity store, and that Christmas gift certificate from Jim and Gina came in very handy! I got a bunch of tops and 2 pairs of maternity jeans (complete with no buttons or zippers, how strange). Here are some pictures at 8, 12, and 16 weeks. Its so nice to finally look pregnant!
