10 Week Sonogram

Here are a few pictures of the twins!  We've been getting weekly sonograms at the specialist and everything is looking great.  Both babies are growing right on schedule and have great heart rates (162 and 174 this week).  They're both about 1.9 inches long which is right where they should be.  Each baby is in their own sack with individual placentas (known as di-di twins) which is the least risky and means they're likely fraternal (which we expected due to the fertility meds).  The due date is Feb 21st but they will likely be born the end of Jan or early Feb.  Twins tend to be born around 36 to 37 weeks instead of the typical 40 weeks for a singleton.

We have one more visit with the specialist is a couple of days then we're officially released to the ob!  I will likely be followed very closely since twin pregnancies are considered high risk and are more likely to have complications.  These babies will have even more sonograms than Tori did (we have an album full of sono pics of her!) so we will have lots of pictures to post soon!

Baby B was head down and moving the entire time!  You can see little arms in the picture.
Second shot of baby B.  You can see umbilical cord and legs also.

Here is baby a.  This one is turned sideways, head is on the left.  You can see the long umbilical cord and its legs.
Second shot of baby a.  You can see an eye, arms, hands, and both legs in this picture!  If you look closely just to the left of the baby's head you can see baby b's feet! :)  So tiny!
Yes, I'm already showing.....  I was noticing my pants were tight on vacation before we even knew we were pregnant, but just thought it was bloating from the medications.  Turns out I had two large ovarian cysts that made me look preggo right from the start.  Now since the cysts are getting smaller and the babies are getting bigger I feel like what you're seeing now is actually baby bump.

The Princess and the Frog

I finally got videos working again!!  Yay!  I have been trying to post this video since spring, I hope it is worth the wait!  I found a frog in my garden and Brian caught it and showed it to Tori.  I love her reaction!!  Such a girlie girl! :)

Happy Birthday Kiddo!

Princess Tori turned two on Thursday!!  She's getting to be such a big girl!  We spent the day together then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner where they put her on the birthday saddle and announced her big day, she line danced with the waitresses and then we went home and had cake and ice cream :)  Her party isn't until next weekend because of my work scheduled but we have a fun surprise planned for her!

Big Announcement!!!!

Hello friends and family!!  We have very exciting news to share (that is if my mother hasn't already told you.... haha).  We found out the day after we returned from vacation that we're PREGNANT!!!!  The journey to this pregnancy was a difficult one.  We sought the help of a fertility specialist after a year of trying for number one, and after just a couple of months on clomid we were blessed with our daughter.  I was very happy to have an easy and uncomplicated pregnancy and labor.  Well this time has been a little more difficult.  After 5 months of the same treatment nothing has happened so we decided together with our doctor to move on to injections.  We were sidetracked by a large ovarian cyst for a few weeks then I gave myself a shot every night for about 2 weeks and found out we had 3 eggs growing.  Brian had to give me a big shot in my hip to release the eggs (he did great, honestly it hurt less than when the nurses give it!).  Then we left for vacation and came back to a big beautiful blue plus sign!!! :)  I had blood work done to confirm and we found out our numbers were very high.  With Tori my level was 78, but this time they came back at 350 and climbed rapidly!  We went in for our sonogram 2 weeks later and found out we're expecting TWINS!!!!!  They both look perfect, each with a tiny but strong heartbeat!  We are so excited and couldn't wait to share the news!!

Silly Munchkin

We just love this age so much!!  Tori is doing something new and fun every time we turn around.  She still loves to sing and dance, but now she knows a few songs and sings them constantly.  Her favorites are "Twinkle Twinkle," "The ABC's," and "Ring Around the Rosie."  She is so fun-spirited and such a little bundle of joy.  She talks constantly, some of which we still don't understand what she's saying, but for the most part she is talking pretty well.  Its so nice being able to have a conversation with her!  She is our little cuddle bug, she asks for hugs all the time (and gives the best hugs!!) and tells us she "lubs" us :)

Out little girl now wants to be a princess!  She loves anything princess and anything grown-up.  She loves necklaces, make-up, and dresses.  She usually puts on some eye shadow with me in the mornings, but this morning she found a mini foundation and a mini lipstick and had a ball!

I just love messy munchkin pictures!  Daddy made some chocolate chip cookies for his favorite girl.

Hehe, she now says "cheese" and smiles when I'm taking pictures!  Tori is our big helper and loves to help wipe down the furniture with a squirt bottle and rag.  She's so professional about it, I just can't help but laugh.

I can't believe we are planning her second birthday already!!  It seems like just yesterday she was born and couldn't even hold her head up.  I can't even imagine what she will be like a year from now!
